Shandong implements integrated origin certification.

　　Starting from July this year, Shandong will implement integrated origin certification, allowing enterprises to choose any inspection and quarantine agency for application without being restricted by their business registration location.

　　Origin certification is an important "identity document" for exported goods. Yao Zhijie, spokesperson for the Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, introduced that the integration of origin certification is aimed at trade enterprises characterized by "urgent export shipments, flexible port selection, and non-fixed procurement locations." It is based on a unified information platform, unified management model, and unified law enforcement linkage, breaking the existing jurisdictional boundaries between inspection and quarantine agencies, and overturning the traditional model where origin certificates could only be processed at the inspection and quarantine agency of the business registration location.

　　Yao Zhijie pointed out that any origin certificate filing enterprise in Shandong Province that has obtained origin application filing, has been rated as Class B or above in import and export enterprise credit management, and meets other necessary conditions can enjoy the integrated origin certification after applying for confirmation through the electronic platform for origin enterprise filing to the filing location's inspection and quarantine agency. According to preliminary estimates, over 90% of the origin filing enterprises at Shandong ports meet the conditions for integrated origin certification, benefiting more than 20,000 enterprises.
