The semi-submersible drilling platform "Ocean Oil 981" successfully departed from the port.

Entrusted by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Raffles, our company acted as the port agent for China's first sixth-generation ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform "Ocean Oil 981". After completing five years of special inspection and maintenance at CIMC Raffles in Yantai, it successfully departed from the CIMC Raffles dock in Yantai on the morning of May 28, 2017, embarking on a new journey amidst the morning glow. "Ocean Oil 981" is China's first independently designed and built sixth-generation deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform, integrating world-class design concepts and top-notch equipment. The platform is 114 meters long, 89 meters wide, and has an area larger than a standard football field. The platform weighs 30,670 tons and has a load capacity.

"Ocean Oil 981" is China's first independently designed and built sixth-generation deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform, integrating world-class design concepts and top-notch equipment. The platform is 114 meters long, 89 meters wide, and has an area larger than a standard football field. It has a self-weight of 30,670 tons and a load capacity of 125,000 tons. As a drilling platform that combines exploration, drilling, completion, and workover functions, "Ocean Oil 981" represents the top level of offshore oil drilling platforms, with a maximum operating water depth of 3,000 meters and a maximum drilling depth of up to 10,000 meters.

During the maintenance and departure of "Ocean Oil 981" at CIMC Yantai, our company provided multiple logistical services: customs clearance for platform spare parts, coordination for platform refueling, preparation of relevant procedures for entering and leaving the port, coordination with the pilot station to complete the platform's departure pilot plan, towing safety assessment, permits for underwater and surface operations, navigation warnings, and tugboat coordination.

The successful departure of the "Ocean Oil 981" platform relies on the cooperation of all parties and has allowed our company to accumulate more experience in offshore platform services. Finally, we also wish that the "Ocean Oil 981" platform can bring more glory to the country and open a new chapter.
