MERO3 project Yantai Raffles departure

The MERO3 project is the first FPSO modification project in China that integrates the transformation of the main hull, the construction and integration of all modules, and the debugging of the FPSO system, all completed at the same shipyard. This project is undertaken by China International Marine Containers (CIMC) Raffles, delivered to the shipowner Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC), and will subsequently provide services for Petrobras, installed in the Libra block offshore Rio de Janeiro, for the extraction of oil from Brazil's deepwater subsalt oil fields.

On February 24, 2024, operated by Yantai Xinyun International Logistics Co., Ltd., the vessel successfully departed after 9 hours under the safe guidance of 8 pilots, heading to Brazil.
