The "Ocean Oil 161" oil extraction platform successfully departed for the Bohai Bay to carry out production operations.

　　According to the requirements of the Tianjin Oil Extraction Company, the "Ocean Oil 161" platform underwent a five-year special inspection, ceasing production in early May 2017. After being released at the end of May, it was towed to the Keppel Shipyard for the five-year special inspection and some equipment optimization and modification. After completing the maintenance work in July 2017, it departed from the Keppel dock and was towed to the BZ3-2 oil field, positioning itself at the original pile hole.

　　The "Ocean Oil 161" platform, which was installed as an oil extraction platform, was completed in 2009. It is China's first pin-type hydraulic self-elevating production and storage platform, made of steel and non-self-propelled. The platform's pin-type hydraulic lifting system is suitable for marine conditions, with strong stability, making it a movable platform capable of achieving "bee-style" oil extraction.
