Xiang'an Kouwen Weihai Floating Installation Zamil LB9 Platform Project

On April 26, the "Zamil LB9" offshore living platform was successfully delivered for export aboard the special semi-submersible transport vessel "Xiang'an Kou". The next step will be leasing it to the Middle East for use. Our company, as the general agent for this towing floating installation project, communicated with the Weihai customs for the relevant procedures, coordinated the maritime safety review meeting with the Weihai Maritime Bureau, Weihai Pilot Station, Weihai Barge Company, COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry, and Weihai China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, obtained the operation permit, and successfully completed the procedures for the platform's wet towing out of port, semi-submersible vessel offshore floating installation operations, and offshore reinforcement work, receiving high recognition from the owner and all parties.

The platform was developed and built by China Merchants Jinling Shipbuilding (Weihai) Co., Ltd., measuring 67.57 meters in length, 76 meters in width, and 9.7 meters in depth, with a value of 370 million yuan. After arriving at the work area, it will dock near the production platform and connect via a telescopic gangway, mainly used for the leisure and living of staff, with a maximum operating water depth of 400 feet. The operational sea area is broad, and the level of automation is high, making it one of the best-received models in the global offshore platform market and highly favored by shipowners.
